Why we use affiliate links
Independent reviews take time. Affiliate commissions are how PayrollSignal pays for research, hosting, and continued updates without charging readers, running display ads, or selling sponsored placements.
How we choose which programs to join
We cover every payroll provider that matters to small businesses, whether or not they have an affiliate program. When a provider we already recommend has a program, we typically join it. We do not recommend a provider because they have a program, and we do not rank one provider above another because their payout is higher.
Reader bonuses, where available
Where a provider lets us pass a sign-up bonus to readers, we do. Our Gusto link (payrollsignal.com/gusto/) gives new customers $100 after they run their first payroll. We mention these bonuses where relevant, but they don't change which provider we recommend for a given business — see our Editorial Policy.
FTC compliance
Per the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guides, we disclose that PayrollSignal has a material connection (affiliate relationships) with several of the payroll providers we review. That disclosure applies sitewide, on every page that contains outbound provider links.
